BEST NON-CHOCOLATE EASTER GIFTS FOR KIDS

As a Mum whose kids get given WAY too much chocolate for Easter, Iā€™m always on the hunt for alternate prezzy ideas. In the hope of limiting sugar highs, I thought I'd share my top five non-chocolate gift ideas for kids:

Micador egg chalk

I gave these to my kids and their cousins last year. It provided hours of endless holiday entertainment as they drew all over the pavers making up all sorts of games.

Easter pyjamas

I love Snugglebum pyjamas as they are top quality and so comfy. They have a great range of Easter designs and if you are quick some are currently on special!

Bunny pencil sharpener

Kids can never have enough fun stationery to encourage them to draw and write. I found these cute bunny pencil sharpeners in Officeworks. They are available in 3 funky colour combos.

Bunny egg cups

How cute are these gorgeous egg cups from Kitchen Warehouse?

But if your kids are young like mine, a less breakable option might be the go.
The Egg Chair is made from silicone with a suction cup to help stick it to the table.

And of course, the best gift is always a book!

1, 2, Pirate Stew by Kylie Howarth

Did you know 1, 2, Pirate Stew is actually all about carrots? Okay, yes this is a shameless plug for my latest picture book, but I have popped it on this list as I always buy my kids a book for Easter. And as the special treasure in 1, 2, Pirate Stew is in fact carrots, it makes the perfect Easter themed gift for little bunnies.

And finally, if you're looking for a non-chocolate sweet treat, why not get the kids to help bake the delicious carrot cup cakes featured in my previous blog post (recipe included)
